Sailing is a fantastic and very diverse sport or past-time. There are sailing activities that should appeal to everyone whether you are a competitor, explorer or just looking for a fun new challenge. The RYA National Sailing Scheme is aimed at older participants from 16+ but can be taken by younger people too. Both of the RYA schemes teach you the same skills but the National Sailing Scheme does it in less time so may be too much of a challenge for younger participants we’d therefore recommend the RYA Youth Sailing Scheme for 8 to 16 year olds.
It is recommended that participants in the RYA National Sailing Scheme Courses purchase the following books
The G4 National Sailing Scheme logbook is used to track each element that needs to be achieved for each level and shows your progress through the scheme. It is yours to keep and can be taken to any RYA accredited training centre running the RYA National Sailing Scheme to continue through the scheme.
PDSSA can purchase these for you and add the cost to the price of any bookings but please let us know at least 2 weeks before your course, Email us or use the Contact Us form with your order stating the book reference, full title and price as shown in the RYA Book Shop. Where possible we will try to amalgamate orders to reduce the postage costs, a share of which will also be added to your purchase.
